choose the design and method of making each wheel for
various race categories. We adopted our unique forging
process to magnesium in a 6-Spoke design for race cars
that compete in Le Mans (24-Hours), JGTG and Formula Nippon.
The thick 6-spoke design gives the wheel strength and
stability. The wide connecting section between the disk
and rim empowers the wheel with high strength and stability
against the extreme twisting forces that pressure the
wheel while the vehicle is braking and cornering. The
6-Spoke design allows for the best genuine circle when
manufacturing a wheel, and the magnesium alloy exhibits
properties of little size change when exposed to extreme
temperatures. The 8-Spoke forged aluminum wheel that is
used for Formula 3 takes the car weight and cost into
consideration and the center-lock racing wheel that is
based on the TE37 is used for Formula J. |
